Legend Billie Jean King admits the tennis world is “very lucky” to have Emma Raducana, with the British No.1 playing very well despite her US Open exit.
Britain's No.1 suffered a third-round collapse, losing 6-1, 6-2 to Elena Rybakina to end her promising summer campaign.
Raducanu is expected to make her next appearance when she leads her country to China, where Great Britain face Japan in the Billie Jean King Cup quarter-finals on September 18. She is hoping to at least repeat last year's run to the quarter-finals.

Marion Bartoli and Ryan Harrison join Emma Peyton to discuss Raducanu's plans following his US Open exit…
Raducanu is on a five-game unbeaten run in the Billie Jean King Cup in 2024 and her teammates stepped up when she decided to skip the qualifiers in April; wins over Germany and the Netherlands secured Britain's place in Shenzhen.
King said: “Raducanu is very articulate, she can get up and talk quickly, covering a lot of topics. Compared to many players, you can tell she has a lot on her mind.”
“I think we are very lucky to have her, but she loves it, she loves playing for her country. If I were her, I would be very happy. She is playing very well and the main thing is that she has no injuries and her body is healthy again.”
Raducan will be joined on the team by Katie Boulter, Sonay Kartal and Jodie Burrage for the start of the final leg of the season in Asia.
She is also due to compete at the WTA 1000 China Open in Beijing, which starts on September 24 and will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
Staying healthy will be Raducanu's main goal, however, given that injury has kept her out of most Asian tournaments over the past two years.
Emma Raducanu believes she is moving in the right direction and has opened up about how she dealt with the pressure while in New York.
Following her departure from New York, Raducanu stressed her desire to maintain the momentum as she looks to secure a ranking spot at the Australian Open in January.
She is looking forward to working with new coach Francisco Roig, saying: “I think we are taking a few steps forward, one step back, but overall I am working and moving towards good results.”
“For the most part I'm just enjoying tennis. Overall, I'm working on playing better and becoming a stronger tennis player, a better overall player, and I'm looking forward to getting back to Asia.
“I've never really played Asian swing, but I hope I can this year.”
Raducanu easily made it to the third round at Flushing Meadows, but for the fourth consecutive Grand Slam, her hopes were ended by one of the biggest names on the women's tour.
The 2021 champion can look back on her first two wins in New York since she lifted the trophy four years ago, but she's still a long way from the top.
Tim Henman and Laura Robson discuss Raducanu's loss to Elena Rybakina at the US Open
Speaking to Sky Sports, former British No.1 Tim Henman said: “We're talking about her playing against a top-10 player, one of the best players of the modern era.”
“There have been a lot of positives on hard courts this season, but it was definitely a reality check. It was a tough day, but she'll learn a lot.”

Marion Bartoli believes Raducanu will learn a lot from playing with the best players
Former Wimbledon champion Marion Bartoli believes Raducanu's consistency both on and off the court shows she is on the right track.
“It's really positive that she started her American swing in Washington, played non-stop, got no injuries and played really good tennis,” the Frenchwoman said.
Yes, she lost to top ten players, but there is nothing shameful about that. I think she only had a bit of a hard time in the beginning of the game against a top hitter. But who wouldn't mind that?
“I was standing at the court and the ball came out of the racket so fast. And so close to the line.
“For Emma, it’s just a matter of continuing to work on hitting the ball hard that she could use against lower-ranked players, developing her style of play, and then she gets more and more used to playing against these top players.
“The more you play against better players, the more you learn.”
