Brooklyn Peltz Beckham shared what his father David warned him about before his first race on the track.
Brooklyn, 26, the eldest son of the famous David and Victoria Beckham, underwent rigorous training before driving the GEN3 Evo racing car, which can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 1.82 seconds, to compete in Formula E races.
Brooklyn noted, “My dad just said, 'Just be careful.' But of course, it (driving) has been something that has brought my dad and I a lot closer together over the years.
“We're both passionate about cars, we're both interested in racing, so he was very excited.
“He just said, 'Be careful. Be careful and enjoy.'
Ahead of the two-day Evo Sessions event, Brooklyn trained with New Zealand professional racer Mitch Evans.
He was among 11 competitors kitted out in specialist team gear, including a custom racing suit and a bespoke helmet bearing their chosen race number.
The event took place at Miami International Speedway from March 5-6 and also featured Harry Potter actor Tom Felton and YouTube star Theo Baker.
All events have been documented in a special feature-length documentary film, which is scheduled for release later this year.
When asked how he celebrated his 26th birthday on March 4 before the event, Brooklyn replied, “I went out to dinner and then I had to go to bed early because I was racing.”
