Adrien Broner weighed in at 144lbs for his catchweight contest against Jessie Vargas at Brooklyn’s Barclay’s Center on Saturday night, live on Sky Sports.
Broner, a former four-weight world champion, tipped the scales at 10st 4lbs on his ring-return following a comprehensive defeat to Mikey Garcia at the same venue nine months ago.
Vargas, whose only career defeats have come against Manny Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley respectively, weighed in slightly lighter than Broner at 10st 3lbs 4oz.
Broner delivered an angry rant at the final press conference and claimed everyone was against him before promising to beat Vargas on the way to becoming a five-division world champion.

But Vargas is confident of exposing the chinks he has seen in Broner’s armour.
“I’m here to win and I plan on doing that,” former two-weight world champion Vargas said.
“I’ve seen the mistakes Broner has made in the past. I have to come out and worry about my performance though.”
Adrien Broner said he is taking over boxing in 2018 at the final press conference for his fight with Jessie Vargas, which is live on Sky Sports Action from 2am
On an exciting undercard, Broner’s close friend Gervonta Davis can regain a world title at super-featherweight when he fights Jesus Cuellar for the WBA ‘super’ belt. He weighed in a quarter of a pound lighter than 31-year-old Cuellar at 9st 3lbs.
Jermall Charlo also returns to action as he takes on Hugo Centeno Jr for the WBC interim middleweight title. The unbeaten Charlo weighed in on the 160lbs limit at 11st 6lbs for the bout with Centeno Jr coming in at 11st 4lbs 12oz.
Watch Adrien Broner, Gervonta Davis & Jermall Charlo from New York, live on Sunday, April 22, on Sky Sports Main Event & Action, from 2am.
