A fired-up Lewis Hamilton admits that his idea “at the world Championships” are only two races in the season in 2018 after falling 17 points behind Sebastian Vettel.

Vettel continued his perfect start to the campaign with victory in the Bahrain Grand Prix, giving Ferrari their first back to back victories at the start of the season since 2004.

Starting ninth on the grid because of five-place penalty, Hamilton survived contact with max Verstappen on two knees before executing a sublime triple overtaking on Esteban Windows, Nico Hulkenberg and Kevin Magnussen.

Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton collided on the second lap of the Grand Prix of Bahrain.

“I’m 17 points after two races,” Hamilton, who overturned a 25-point advantage Vettel to take the title in 2017, Added.

“Obviously, [grid] penalty this weekend was difficult for all of us to swallow, but I think the team did a really good job.

“Hopefully, when we go to the next race we will have a better understanding of the tyres and I hope will be a better deal with Ferrari.”
