President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy will have a personal meeting with White House Special Representative Steve Witkoff in Paris today, September 4, Ukrinform reports, citing its own sources.
The agency's source noted that Witkoff has already participated in a meeting of the “coalition of the willing” today, and will then have a meeting with the President of Ukraine.
In turn, “European Truth” notes that Witkoff was present only at the beginning of the coalition meeting and later left the Elysee Palace. The French president's office reported that such a regulation was planned in advance, and later Witkoff will take part in a joint telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump.
The meeting of the Coalition of the Willing in Paris began today at 11:30 a.m. Kyiv time. European leaders are expected to hold a phone call with U.S. President Donald Trump at 3 p.m., and a final press conference is scheduled for 4 p.m.
On the eve, Zelenskyy said that “today or the other day” will have a conversation with the US President Donald Trump, during which he will discuss the promised sanctions against Russia.
After the talks in Washington, Ukraine received promises from Donald Trump of “very good” security guarantees. But what kind of guarantees are these? And will they be able to protect our country from the “salami tactics” that Moscow so willingly resorts to? International observer Volodymyr Kim writes about this in the article “ Between Article 5 and the “porcupine”: The West is looking for security “guarantees” for Ukraine .”
