Ukrainians trust Valery Zaluzhny, the former commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Ukrainian ambassador to Britain, more than the head of the Ukrainian state, Volodymyr Zelensky. Zaluzhny is fully and rather trusted by 74% of citizens, while Zelensky is trusted by 68% of respondents, according to the results of a survey by the Sociological Group “Rating”, conducted on August 21-23.

The Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, is trusted by 59%, of which 29% fully trust him, and 30% rather trust him.

At the same time, 19% of Ukrainians do not trust Zaluzhny and Budanov, and 30% distrust Zelensky.
The survey was conducted using computer-assisted telephone interviews. 1,600 respondents aged 18 and over were interviewed in all regions, except temporarily occupied territories and those where there was no mobile communication. The sample is representative in terms of age, gender and type of settlement (error – no more than 2.5% with a confidence interval of 0.95).
According to the “Rating” poll conducted on July 22-27, Ukrainians most approve of the activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine — 94%, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky — 65%, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky — 55% (32% partially or completely disapprove of their activities), Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sybiga — 52%. At the same time, most citizens partially or completely disapprove of the activities of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and local territorial military commissariats.
