Next week, a Ukrainian delegation, headed by Ukraine’s Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, will travel to the United States, as stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during a discussion with journalists, Interfax-Ukraine announced on Thursday, the ninth of October.
As per Zelensky’s words, the delegation will also consist of the Head of the Office of the President, Andriy Yermak, together with the Presidential Commissioner for Sanctions Policy, Vladyslav Vlasyuk.
“The group, which is headed by Prime Minister Svyrydenko, along with Head of the Office Yermak and my representative concerning sanctions policy, Vlasyuk, will be present in the United States at the commencement of next week,” stated Zelenskyy.
Among the subjects planned for discourse in the United States are aerial protection, energy matters, and sanction implementations, alongside the negotiation avenue and the matter of impounded Russian assets.
Furthermore, Zelensky mentioned that for the period of October-November of the current year, Ukraine is formulating suitable measures, conferences, and outcomes inside the framework of the “coalition of the willing” operation.
It was previously indicated that the US is currently undergoing a shutdown — Democrats and Republicans are still unable to come to an agreement regarding a legislative act for funding the government. The Telegraph reported on the potential risk of delaying deliveries of American weaponry as a result of the shutdown in the States. Specifically, according to sources from the publication, conversations pertaining to military support for Kyiv coming from Washington were “halted” subsequent to the US government’s cessation of activities.
