Emmanuel Macron, the French President, stated on October 21 that any dialogues concerning Ukraine’s territory must be carried out solely by President Volodymyr Zelensky, as reported by The Guardian.
“Nobody else is authorized to do so. Consequently, Ukraine alone must make decisions for itself and concerning its territory,” Macron informed journalists, responding to an inquiry about the projected meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin pertaining to ceasing the conflict in Ukraine.
It’s worth noting that Ukraine’s partners are urgently trying to bolster Kyiv’s stance before discussions occur between US President Donald Trump and Russian autocrat Vladimir Putin, afraid they might reach a detrimental agreement that could undermine the entirety of Europe. A three-part aid package is currently under deliberation.
