Finland will hold a special meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council tomorrow, September 9, at the initiative of Ukraine.

This was announced on the social network X by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga. According to him, the event will take place at 11:00 Kyiv time and is aimed at increasing international pressure on Russia in response to its recent massive attacks on Ukraine's civilian infrastructure.

“Russia's crimes against civilians will not go unanswered. Consistent international pressure, including through tough sanctions, can force Moscow to stop imitating diplomacy and join real steps to end the war,” Sibiga emphasized, also expressing gratitude to the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen for their prompt response.

Recall that on the night of September 8, Russia attacked Ukraine with 142 Shahed, Gerber and other drones, of which 112 were neutralized by the PSU. Among the affected facilities were the Kyiv region and the Trypillya CHPP, where power outages occurred. The day before, the Russians launched a record 810 drones, of which Ukrainian air defense forces eliminated 747.
