President Donald Trump isn’t just transforming the East Wing of the Presidential residence. On Friday, via his social media platform, he revealed a completely revamped Lincoln Bathroom, featuring white marble coupled with gold highlights.
"I gave the Lincoln Bathroom within the White House a makeover," Trump conveyed on Truth Social, accompanied by before-and-after snapshots. "It had been refurbished back in the 1940s, exhibiting an art deco green tile aesthetic, which was wholly unsuitable for the Lincoln period."
He added, "I chose black and white polished Statuary marble for its reconstruction. This selection harmonizes well with the era of Abraham Lincoln and, conceivably, it mirrors the marble that was originally installed there!"

Trump ignited debate earlier in the month by taking down the White House’s East Wing as a component of the building venture to erect his expansive 90,000-square-foot, $300 million ballroom. Financial backing is derived from private contributors.
Nevertheless, a majority of Americans disagree with the demolition to accommodate Trump’s ballroom, based on an ABC News/Washington Post/Ipsos poll, which employed Ipsos’ KnowledgePanel.
According to the survey results, 56% of Americans are against the decision, with 45% showing "strong" disapproval. Merely 28% of Americans endorse the concept, with 15% expressing firm backing for the removal of the East Wing to build a ballroom.

Trump voiced disapproval of Harry Truman’s modifications to the Lincoln Bedroom, inclusive of the restroom, earlier this month upon initially declaring his plans to refurbish the space.
"The prevailing aesthetic is inadequate… Indeed, it embodies art deco principles, which clash with the ethos of 1850 and the context of civil conflicts," Trump observed at that juncture.
Truman revamped the area in 1945, shortly after assuming presidential duties from Franklin D. Roosevelt, primarily redesigning it in hues of blue.
