Representatives of Great Britain, France, and Germany have arrived in Ukraine for a visit, said Andriy Yermak, head of the presidential office. Among them is the new British Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper.
“Together with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sybiga, we met in Kyiv our partners from Great Britain, France, Germany and Italy. Their presence right now is a powerful signal – we are working together to strengthen common security. These states are at the forefront of the “coalition of the willing” that is forming a new security system on the European continent,” said Andriy Yermak, head of the presidential office.
According to him, unity with partners is growing every day, and security guarantees for Ukraine are taking on clear and practical outlines.
At the same time, Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga clarified that British Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper arrived in Kyiv – this is her first foreign visit in this position.
“This morning, together with Andriy Yermak, I had the pleasure of meeting Yvette Cooper at Kyiv train station during her first visit to Ukraine as UK Foreign Secretary. I told Yvette that we highly appreciate her personal commitment and unwavering support for the UK. We will discuss the full range of bilateral and international issues on our agenda, including peace efforts, transatlantic pressure on Russia, and expanding defence cooperation between Ukraine and the UK,” Sybiga wrote in H.
Today, Polish Prime Minister Radosław Sikorski also arrived in Ukraine . Szybiga also met him right at the train station.
In addition, it was reported that Prince Harry arrived in the Ukrainian capital on an unannounced visit . He and the team from his Invictus Games foundation plan to detail new initiatives to support the rehabilitation of the wounded. The ultimate goal of such initiatives is to provide assistance to all regions of the country.
