Darth Vader's Star Wars Lightsaber and Michael Keaton's Batman Suit to Be Auctioned

Unique pieces of cinematic history up for auction include Darth Vader's lightsaber from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and an exclusive Batman suit worn by Michael Keaton in the 1989 film.

Propstore will also be offering the whip, belt and holster from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989) and the outfit worn by Jane Fonda in Barbarella (1968). The auction is scheduled to run from September 4 to 6.

Experts predict that Darth Vader's lightsaber, the only one of its kind ever put up for sale, could sell for between $1 million and $3 million (€873,000 and €2,619,000). Keaton's Batman costume is expected to fetch between $250,000 and $500,000 (€218,000 and €436,000).

The Indiana Jones-related artefacts that belonged to Harrison Ford are being presented in full for the first time, according to organizers. They are expected to sell for $250,000–500,000 (€218,000–436,000). Fonda’s Barbarella costume is valued at $20,000–40,000 (€17,400–34,900).

Other lots include Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man suit from the 2002 film, estimated at $100,000-200,000 (€87,300-174,600), and Sigourney Weaver's flamethrower as Ellen Ripley from Aliens (1986), expected to sell for $125,000-250,000 (€109,000-218,000).

The remote-controlled Billy Puppet animatronic doll from Saw III is expected to sell for $30,000–60,000 (€26,000–52,000), while the Captain America shield used by Chris Evans in Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) is expected to sell for $60,000–120,000 (€52,000–104,800).

The Propstore Entertainment Memorabilia online auction will take place in Los Angeles and on the official website. More than 1,000 lots with a total estimated value of $10 million (€8.7 million) are available to bidders.
