KAZKA's soloist Oleksandra Zaritska has put the dots over the “i” in a question that has long worried fans: will we see the band on the Eurovision 2026 stage?
On her Instagram, the artist said that a few months ago the band was really considering the possibility of returning to the contest. Moreover, they even consulted by phone with the music producer of the National Selection, Jamala. At that time, KAZKA said that they would decide to participate only if they found a song that could adequately represent Ukraine.
But it seems that this time inspiration did not come. In new stories, Zaritska admitted that after a long search, the team never created a composition that would fully meet their expectations.
“We have been looking for a song for several months that would be able to adequately represent our country at Eurovision, and we really thought about returning to this platform. But, unfortunately, we did not find a song that we were 100% sure of,” the singer wrote.
As a reminder, KAZKA already has a history with the competition: in 2018, the band took sixth place in the semi-finals of the National Selection with the hit “Diva”, and the following year, with the song Apart, they came third in the final. This time, the musicians decided not to rush — and, as Zaritska says, “it's better to take a break than to go on stage with something you don't fully believe in.”
