The 8 best TV series of November

When the evenings get longer and the weather outside doesn't inspire you to go for walks, streaming services come to the rescue. This November, they have prepared an especially generous selection of premieres for every taste: from courtroom dramas with a star-studded cast to satire on influencers and grand finales of favorite stories. We've collected the most interesting new releases that are worth adding to your viewing list.

“I love Los Angeles”

When: from November 2

HBO's new series is literally the author's project of actress and comedian Rachel Sennott: in the series she played the main role, acted as showrunner, executive producer and screenwriter. Judging by the synopsis, we are waiting for a witty satire on life in the age of social networks, when the level of happiness is determined by the reach of your TikTok account. This is especially acutely felt in Los Angeles, where thousands of ambitious (and not so) young people flock in search of fame. It is about them that “I Love Los Angeles” will tell.

“Everything is fair”

When: from November 4

Kim Kardashian didn't just get a law degree: the star hasn't started a private practice yet, but she's starring in Ryan Murphy's new legal drama. Her character, Allura, leaves a large law firm to open her own and hire exclusively women. We don't know what the plot has in store for us, but we're already impressed by the cast: the heroines of Naomi Watts, Sarah Paulson, Glenn Close, Neesy Nash-Betts, and Teyana Taylor will be handling cases side by side with Allura.

“It's all her fault”

When: from November 6

The series is based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Andrea Mary. The main character, Marissa, goes to pick up her son from a children's party, but it turns out that the birthday boy's parents never even saw him: the child disappeared without a trace. In terms of the starry cast, the new series can easily be compared to “All Fair”: the main roles are played by “Heirs” star Sarah Snook, Dakota Fanning, Jake Lacy, Michael Peña and Sophia Lillis.

“Death by lightning”

When: from November 6

The biopic series will tell about the life of the 20th President of the United States, James A. Garfield. The politician did not hold this post for long: 4 months after the inauguration, he was shot. The director of the project, Matt Ross, promises to “cheer up” the already known, and therefore not the most interesting plot with the help of comedy, although we are waiting for it for a completely different reason. The producers of “Death by Lightning” were the creators of “Game of Thrones” D.B. Weiss and David Benioff, and there is no doubt about their ability to make quality series.

“Pluribus”

When: from November 7

And another project from the legend of the TV series world – the creator of “The Beach Boys” Vince Gilligan. This is already a good enough reason to watch it, but let's also talk about the plot. The center of the sci-fi drama will be a woman named Carol, who will have to save the world from the happiness epidemic. Gilligan decided not to reveal additional details. We only know that the project was renewed for a second season even before the premiere, and the main role in it was played by the star of “Better Call Saul” Rhea Seehorn.

“The Beast Within Me”

When: from November 13

Writer Edgey (Claire Danes) has lost her son and has completely closed herself off from the outside world: she spends whole days at home alone with her grief. One day, a neighbor named Neil (Matthew Rhys) moved into the house opposite. How wonderful he is is incomprehensible: for the past few months, his name has been on the front pages of newspapers because of suspicions of his wife's murder. Of course, his appearance could not but interest the bored Edgey: the heroine decides to get closer to Neil, find out from him all the details of what happened, and write a book about it, not even suspecting what a dangerous game she is getting involved in.

“The Death of Bunny Munro”

When: from November 20

Matt Smith stars as Bunny Munro, a traveling salesman and sex addict struggling to cope with his wife's suicide. In search of himself and his place in the world, the hero decides to go on a road trip along the coast of Great Britain, taking his nine-year-old son with him, who, in turn, becomes closer to his father for the first time and looks at him without illusions. At the same time, a serial killer begins to operate in these parts, which only increases distrust of the already suspicious stranger who has come to sell cheap cosmetics to local housewives. The plot is based on the novel of the same name by musician Nick Cave, written in 2009.

“Strange Miracles” (Season 5)

When: from November 25

And at the end of November, we will see the grand finale of one of the most high-profile Netflix projects of recent years. Since the actors of the series have noticeably grown up, the plot of the new season will unfold a year and a half after the end of the previous one. However, we are not sure that such a small “leap” will help to level the age difference between the actors and their characters: in real life, 21-year-old Millie Bobby Brown, who according to the plot is about 14, has managed to get married and have a child, and the entire cast of high school students will celebrate their 30th birthday. If we leave these quibbles aside, it will be really interesting to see how the fantasy epic will end. According to Maya Hawke, each of the eight episodes will be like a separate, intense film. But you shouldn’t expect a happy ending: The Duffer Brothers decided not to give fans false hopes and have already said that not everyone will live to see the final credits.
