Now I will show you with my fingers that a person's ability to get rich begins precisely with their thinking. And I will give you instructions on how to do it.
It is important to emphasize right away: this is not about esoteric visualizations or magical affirmations, but about deep psychological work on internal beliefs and attitudes that directly shape your reactions, decisions, and, ultimately, financial actions.
Moreover, changing your mindset is a key starting point and the most important internal factor for revenue growth. Actions are also necessary, but they are derived from thinking and become productive only after it is processed.
A person's income is affected by:
1. Self-esteem (Am I worthy of something good? Can I do it? Will I succeed? Am I capable?).
2. Worldview (Who gets money in this world and how? Is there enough money in the world for everyone? How is it obtained here, what is needed for this?).
3. Personal thinking strategies (attitude towards mistakes, perseverance, external or internal locus of control, attitude towards people and strategies for relationships with people, willingness to take responsibility).
4. Possession of money-making tools (business models, skills, knowledge, etc.).
And then there are actions aimed at earning and increasing income. Moreover, point 4: mastering tools – reveals its full potential only if the first three points have been worked out!
Some people succeed, while others have the same tools, but because there are problems in the first three points of thinking, the tools do not work. A person simply cannot take them and apply them. This can manifest itself in constant procrastination, sabotage of their undertakings, fear of starting or finishing a business, excessive perfectionism that paralyzes, or in unwillingness to invest time and money in themselves, even when the tools are at hand. The brain simply finds thousands of reasons not to take risks and remain in the zone of habitual “lack”.
And here many people think: the main thing is not “thoughts” (often equating them with visualizations and affirmations), but exclusively actions! They say that it is all deception and esotericism. In fact, it is not about passive visualizations or magical affirmations, but about deep work on internal beliefs and attitudes that determine your reactions, decisions and, ultimately, actions. This is psychology, not esotericism.
But the fact is that a person with thinking and self-esteem problems in points 1-3 will have unproductive actions. Now I will give a specific example.
So, let's take Anya and Svetlana, they grew up on the same street, in the same house, and went to the same class. However, for various reasons, their further development went differently.
Point 1, self-esteem.
Anya thinks she is unworthy of anything good. As a child, her desires were laughed at – “you want a lot – you will get little”, her abilities were devalued – “you are crooked, it is unclear who gave birth to you like that”. Her family did not value her, her opinion was not taken into account.
Svetlana thinks she is capable and smart (her parents and teachers said so), she knows that her desires and dreams are something valuable. And she herself is valuable. Everyone supported her.
Point 2, worldview.
Anya is sure (her parents told her as a child) that big money is obtained dishonestly and only bad people have it. Ordinary honest people don't see money. They laughed at their dreams of getting rich and twisted them around their temples. Anya is disgusted by the rich — they are all “bad and crooks.” Or they have some supernatural abilities and talents, she thinks.
Svetlana knows that rich people are brave, creative and hardworking people who dared to do more and did unconventional actions. She believes in the abundance of the world, because her dreams of cherished goals were supported in childhood, and showed her “yes, everything is possible!”. And Svetlana sincerely believes in this. She sees enterprising people around her who have achieved a lot and tries to learn from them. In general, she actively studies this issue.
Point 3, personal thinking strategies.
Anya has known since childhood that in order to have a little more money, she has to work hard and save ruthlessly, not waste or spend on anything, considering it harmful. And there is no point. She is afraid to try and act differently from everyone else. She is also afraid to take responsibility at new jobs (she does not believe that she will be able to cope, she believes that she is incapable and is afraid of making mistakes in general). She is sure that this is a bad government. And her husband is some kind of poor person, she is unlucky.
Svitlana understands that to increase income, you need to do things differently, come up with something of your own. Become a pro at something, don't be afraid to communicate with people, learn to show yourself and “sell” yourself. There are no mistakes – we try new things and learn from this experience how “it works” and “how it doesn't work”, we become wiser. Svitlana understands that although the government or a man could influence her life, she cannot influence them. Therefore, she chooses to think in the style of “What can I personally do to increase my well-being”. This is a manifestation of the internal locus of control – when a person believes that it is his own actions, efforts and decisions that affect the results, and not external circumstances or other people.
And so they both find a book on how to start a business from a hobby. Anya will say: this is a scam, I won’t succeed anyway, I’m afraid to try something, and I don’t have the skills. Let the man do something. And he won’t take the offered tools (our 4th point). Svetlana will think – oh, interesting, I’ll read it. She takes something valuable from there and tries it.
Well, let's get back to the question of action. Both want more money, a beautiful life and travel. Both try to act in their own way. Anya saves, tries to find a part-time job for pennies and watches her husband. Svetlana sets goals, dreams, studies various tools – from business development to investing, tries, makes mistakes, but becomes smarter and eventually grows financially!
Whether a person will have actions or not, and how productive they will be, largely depends on the settings of his thinking. Therefore, yes, we become rich with the power of thought, first of all, by changing self-esteem, worldview and individual thinking strategies. Of course, this cannot be changed in one day, but you can start now:
— Self-esteem: Write down your successes, even small ones. Praise yourself for every attempt, not just the result. Seek out an environment that is supportive, not demeaning.
— Worldview: Realize that your beliefs about money are just beliefs, not absolute truth. Read stories of successful people who achieved wealth through honest means. Allow yourself to dream big.
— Personal thinking strategies: When faced with a problem, instead of asking “I can’t do it,” ask “What can I do to at least try?” View mistakes as valuable experiences, not failures. Cultivate an internal locus of control—focus on what you can change.
Remember that particularly deep or traumatic attitudes may require time and, if necessary, the help of specialists – psychologists, coaches or mentors. This is not a sign of weakness on your part, it is an effective investment in your mental health and financial future.
