The party of former Prime Minister Andrej Babis may win the parliamentary elections in the Czech Republic. One of his promises is to cancel the initiative under which Ukraine received millions of artillery shells. Will he succeed in doing so if he wins? “There is a tendency to audit the Czech projectile initiative for Ukraine,” says Czech government official Tomasz Kopeczny, who was at the origins of this project.

The Czech Republic is holding parliamentary elections on October 3-4. The leader in opinion polls is the Eurosceptic ANO party of former Prime Minister Andrej Babis. He promises to end the “shell initiative,” which he considers “rotten,” and is open to forming a coalition with parties that oppose continued aid to Ukraine.
