Ukraine imported 224.5 thousand passenger cars / Depositphotos
Throughout the initial seven months of 2025, Ukraine brought in 224.5 thousand autos for passengers (both brand-new and pre-owned), marking a rise of 17% compared to the equivalent timeframe last year.
This is communicated by Delo.ua, citing data from Ukravtoprom.
The aggregate customs worth of these imported vehicles neared $3.2 billion, indicating an increase of 22% relative to 2024.
Germany stood out as the origin of the largest quantity of vehicles, accounting for 49,963 units. The leading trio was further composed of the USA (39,320 vehicles) and China (22,835 vehicles).
The primary 10 countries dispatching cars to Ukraine (spanning January to July 2025) are:
- Germany — 49,963 units;
- USA — 39,320 units;
- China — 22,835 units;
- Japan — 20,257 units;
- South Korea — 14,491 units;
- France — 14,399 units;
- Czech Republic — 11,188 units;
- Great Britain — 10,312 units;
- Mexico — 9,149 units;
- Romania — 5,782 units.
It is worth adding that in August alone, the Ukrainian car pool expanded by almost 6.8 thousand novel passenger cars. From this figure, 71% of these passenger vehicles were vended to individual clients, whereas 29% were procured by corporate entities.
