President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has relieved Anatoly Kutsevol of his duties as Ukraine’s envoy to Latvia. The relevant order was posted on the official site of the Presidential Office of Ukraine.
“To discharge Anatoly Anatoliy Kutsevol from the post of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to the Latvian Republic,” the order No. 752/2025 states.
Kutsevol had occupied this role since December 23, 2022. Kutsevol formally commenced his diplomatic assignment to Latvia on April 17, 2023. Before Kutsevol, Oleksandr Mishchenko was the Ukrainian ambassador to Latvia.
It is worth noting that, on September 15, Ukraine’s Ambassador to the United States, Olga Stefanishyna, declared the beginning of a diplomatic assignment. Zelensky had authorized her appointment back in August. Prior to that, she served as Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration – Minister of Justice. The previous ambassador, Oksana Markarova, concluded her service after more than four years in the position.
