Sales of cars from China have doubled in Ukraine: the most popular models

During August, Ukrainians purchased 2,424 passenger cars imported from China. This is 42% more than in the same period last year.

This is reported by Delo.ua with reference to data from Ukravtoprom.

It is noted that of the total number of new cars, 2,026 units (+52%) were new, and 398 units (+7%) were used.

Analysts emphasize that the absolute majority of passenger cars from China were electric vehicles, namely 88%.

The most popular models of new cars of Chinese origin:

1. BYD Song Plus – 361 units;
2. Volkswagen ID.UNYX – 206 units;
3. Honda eNS1 – 202 units;
4. BYD Sea Lion 07 – 155 units.
5. Audi Q4 – 109 units.

The most popular models of used cars from China:

1. Zeekr 001 – 33 units;
2. BYD Sea Lion 07 – 28 units.
3. BYD Song Plus – 26 units;
4. Polestar 2 – 19 units;
5. Zeekr 7X – 18 units.

Recall that in the first half of 2025, Ukrainians purchased 7,318 passenger cars imported from China. This is 0.4% more than in the same period last year.

Note that during July, Ukrainians purchased 2,072 passenger cars imported from China. This is 50% more than in the same period in 2024.
