Tesla has introduced an updated version of its popular Model Y — the Model Y Performance. It is now available to order in Europe.

The exterior of the Model Y Performance stands out from the competition thanks to a sporty body kit and exclusive 21-inch Arachnid 2.0 wheels. The model has updated air intakes at the front, a carbon fiber rear spoiler, a sharper diffuser and additional air vents on the rear bumper.
Interior and specifications
The interior of the new Model Y Performance features a 16-inch infotainment display (versus the standard 15.4-inch) and carbon fiber trim on the dashboard. The main feature is the new sports seats with integrated headrests, which have heating, ventilation and electric adjustment functions.
The car is equipped with two electric motors, providing all-wheel drive. Although Tesla has not yet provided official power figures, according to European media, the model for Europe has 460 hp (343 kW) . The US version is expected to generate up to 510 hp (380 kW) , which is in line with the Model 3 Performance.
Dynamics and range
According to the official website, the most powerful version of the crossover accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds , which is 0.4 seconds slower than the corresponding sedan.
In terms of handling, the Model Y Performance features electronically controlled dampers , like the Model 3 Performance, but with special settings for the crossover. New driving modes have also been added.
Thanks to the new adaptive suspension and high-density battery cells, Tesla was able to maintain a range of 580 km (WLTP cycle), which is only 6 km less than the Long Range version. When using a fast charging station, the electric car can replenish its range by 243 km in just 15 minutes .
Availability and price
The Tesla Model Y Performance is now available for order in Europe, the UK and the Middle East, with first deliveries expected in September 2025.
In Germany, it is priced at €61,990, which is €9,000 more than the Long Range version. Pricing information for the US has not yet been released, but is expected soon.
Recall that sales of new Tesla cars in the UK last month fell by almost 60% to 987 units compared to 2,462 units a year earlier. In Germany, sales of Elon Musk's electric cars fell to 1,110 units, which is 55.1% less than in the same period in 2024.
