Step-by-step instructions for registering through Diya
The process of registering a car through the Diya application consists of several logical stages, each of which has its own characteristics and requirements. Following the correct sequence of actions ensures a quick and trouble-free registration.
Step-by-step registration instructions:
- Download the Diya application and authorize via BankID or electronic signature;
- Select the “Vehicle Registration” service in the “Auto” section;
- Upload documents – technical passport, purchase and sale agreement, OSCPV policy;
- Fill out an application with personal data and information about the car;
- Pay state duty through the built-in payment system;
- Receive confirmation of receipt of documents and application number;
- Wait for review (up to 10 business days) and receive ready documents.
The document upload stage requires special attention to the quality of the photos. All documents must be photographed in good lighting, without glare and with all text clearly visible.
Filling out the application includes specifying the vehicle's VIN code, its technical specifications, and the desired registration region. The system automatically checks the correctness of the entered data and warns about possible errors.
Required documents and requirements
To successfully register a car through Diya, you need to prepare a full set of documents in digital format. The quality of the scans and photos directly affects the speed of processing the application.
Mandatory package of documents:
- passport of a citizen of Ukraine or ID card;
- vehicle registration certificate (registration certificate);
- a purchase and sale agreement or other document confirming ownership;
- certificate of deregistration (for used cars);
- compulsory insurance policy (mandatory insurance);
- certificate of conformity or declaration (for imported cars).
The vehicle registration certificate must be valid and contain all the necessary marks from the previous owner. The document is photographed on both sides with high resolution for automatic text recognition by the system.
The purchase and sale agreement can be executed both in writing and electronically through Diya. The electronic version is automatically integrated with the registration system, which speeds up the processing of the application.
Features of registration of different categories of cars
The Diya system supports registration of all vehicle categories, but each has its own specific features and additional requirements. Understanding these nuances helps to avoid delays in document processing.

- motorcycles – simplified procedure with a minimum package of documents;
