Britain's Prince and Princess of Wales are set to move into a new home in Windsor.
William and Kate move into the eight-bedroom Forest Lodge house in Windsor Great Park with their children George, Charlotte and Louis.
A Kensington Palace spokesman said: “The Wales family are planning to move house later this year.”
According to The Sun, the British royal couple are funding the purchase and renovation themselves, avoiding additional costs for taxpayers.
The article mentions that minor repairs have already begun at the site, which is a Category II architectural monument.
Amended planning applications submitted to the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead showed that permission for minor internal and external alterations was granted earlier this month.
The council's decision calls for the window to be removed and a fireplace to be installed.
In 2001, Forest Lodge underwent a £1.5 million (€1.7 million) restoration and was offered for rent for £15,000 (€17,376) per month.
Photographs taken at the time show original stonework, elaborate plaster cornices and ceiling decorations, and a semi-barrel vaulted ceiling in the hallway.
The Welsh family's move will be close to their current primary home of Adelaide Cottage in Windsor, and their children attend Lambrook School nearby.
