TV presenter Jay Blades appeared in court via video link where he was charged with two counts of rape.
The 55-year-old, who hosts BBC primetime show The Repair Shop, only appeared to confirm his name, address and date of birth and thank the judge at the end of a hearing at Telford Magistrates' Court in England on Wednesday.
Blades, wearing animal-print glasses, a blue suit and a dark polka-dot tie, did not take the stand at his first court appearance.
The defendant became famous thanks to the restoration program The Repair Shop, which he began hosting in 2017.
Last year he gave up his role as host.
Blades has also appeared on Celebrity Masterchef, Celebrity Bake Off and Comic Relief, and was the presenter of the BBC's Money For Nothing until 2020.
The defendant, from Claverley in Shropshire, England, was granted conditional bail to appear at Shrewsbury Crown Court on September 10.
