Lottie Wood is tied for eighth at the AIG Women's Open after playing the Evian Championship, her previous Grand Slam; Wood has won on the Ladies European Tour and LPGA Tour in a remarkable month, but has yet to commit to a schedule for the rest of 2025.
Lottie Wood shared her impressions after finishing the final round of the AIG Open Women's Tournament – her first major tournament as a professional – and tied for eighth place.
Lottie Wood admitted she was still unsure how she would handle the rest of the season after capping a career-high month with a top-10 finish at the AIG Women's Open.
Wood began her superb run with a six-stroke victory at the KPMG Irish Open (as an amateur) in early July, then made a final charge the following week at the Amundi Evian Championship to finish third.
She made the decision to turn professional after earning the 20 points needed to qualify for LPGA membership through the LPGA Elite Amateur Pathway (LEAP) program and made history by winning her first professional tournament at the ISPS Women's Handa Scottish Open.

Highlights from the final round of the ISPS Handa Scottish Open, where Lottie Wood made a successful start to her professional career.
Wood's strong start saw her head to Royal Porthcawl as a pre-tournament favourite despite being world number 24 and in what was her first Grand Slam as a professional, where she finished tied for eighth, seven strokes behind Miyu Yamashita.
“Overall it went pretty well,” Wood said of her performance. “I played with confidence. Maybe the shots were better over the weekend, just not as many putts. But for a top 10, I can’t complain. Overall, it was a good week.”

Wood was the centre of attention ahead of the tournament and added to the anticipation heading into the final women's tournament of the year, but she had to cope with the pressure of delivering at least an average performance – in difficult conditions – throughout all four rounds of the tournament.
“I “I don’t think it [the expectations] affected my game, but there was definitely a lot more attention on me, a lot more eyes on me,” Wood admitted. “I think overall I handled it pretty well and just played and tried to focus on my preparation and not let it distract me too much.”
