Luke Littler stopped short of calling himself the best darts player in the world after his Betfred World Matchplay victory, but how close is he to officially becoming the world number one?
The 18-year-old beat James Wade 18-13 in a stunning final at Blackpool's Winter Gardens, where his average was 107.24, making him the youngest player to lift the Phil Taylor Trophy.
The triumph saw Littler become only the fifth player to complete the Triple Crown (he previously won the Premier League in May last year and the World Championship in January), joining Phil Taylor, Michael van Gerwen, Gary Anderson and Luke Humphries in darts' exclusive club.

Humphries currently sits top of the money table (as of July 28) with earnings of £1,797,750, while Luke Littler's latest TV title has taken him to £1,500,500 and he is less than £300,000 off top spot.
