The widow of murdered far-right activist Charlie Kirk, who was killed the other day in the US, spoke live on the Internet with a statement and a promise to continue her husband's political activities. “The movement that my husband created will not die. He will not die. I will not let this happen,” Erica Kirk said, DW reported on September 13.

According to her, Kirk's death was an irreparable loss for his family, he was “the perfect father and the perfect husband.” “Those responsible for my husband's murder do not understand what they have done,” Erica Kirk added. “They have no idea what a fire they have lit in this woman. Charlie Kirk was shot on September 10 during a speech at Utah Valley University. Kirk was shot in the neck and hospitalized. Another person was later arrested.

The murdered 31-year-old Charlie Kirk was a conservative activist and podcast host. He had millions of followers on social media. According to American media, he was believed to be well-informed about the mood of the young conservative movement and supporters of Trump's “Make America Great Again” (MAGA) movement. In 2012, he founded the influential Turning Point USA movement, which advocated for conservative values in educational institutions. Kirk had a direct connection with Trump, with whom they exchanged views, writes CNN. Some believe that Kirk largely influenced Trump's position with his pro-Russian views. It is also known that he was an active opponent of providing any aid to Ukraine.

As a reminder, the name of the suspect in the murder of prominent conservative activist Charlie Kirk has been released in the US. Prior to this, US President Trump, whose ally Kirk was considered, announced that the alleged killer had been detained, but did not name him.

The New York Post reported that a 22-year-old Utah student, Tyler Robinson, has been charged. The suspect was arrested Thursday night, about 33 hours after the attack. Utah Governor Spencer Cox confirmed the arrest of the suspect in Kirk's murder.
