Jurors in Sean “Diddy” Combs' sex trafficking trial were given a chance to see some of the “bizarre” sex sessions that are at the heart of the allegations. Prosecutors showed clips of explicit videos the hip-hop mogul shot during drug-fueled sessions.
Prosecutors presented excerpts from three sex videos found on a cellphone linked to Combs that his ex-girlfriend Cassie gave to authorities, giving jurors a close-up look at scenes they've heard about since evidence began May 12.
One of the videos was filmed on Oct. 14, 2012, the same day prosecutors say Combs was partying “hard” in New York with Cassie and sex worker Sharia Hayes, known as “The Punisher.”
Before the clip was shown, prosecutors presented jurors with a bill for a stay at the Trump International Hotel & Tower in Manhattan on October 14, 2012, booked under Combs' alias, Frank Black. A note on the bill noted that the guest had requested the room at 3 a.m.
Prosecutors also showed jurors text messages in which Cassie, an R&B singer whose real name is Cassandra Ventura, arranged to meet Mr. Hayes on Oct. 14.
In one message, she asked: “Can we really meet at 3am at the Trump Hotel on Columbus Circle?”
Mr Hayes replied: “Fine. I'll let you know when I'm on my way,” adding that his fee for the meeting was $200 (£147) cash.
Jurors were also shown clips of videos taken on October 20, 2012, and December 4, 2014. In total, the clips shown to jurors were several minutes long, and while one juror winced while watching them, their reactions were largely muted.
