Team news

Damien Cahalan and Diarmuid Healy are two new additions to the Cork squad that face Limerick in the Munster SHC final at the TUS Gaelic Grounds on Saturday.

St Finbarrs' Cahalane replaces the injured Ger Millerica (hand) while Lisgolds' Healy replaces Brian Roche. Both players featured in the final round against Waterford on Sunday.

Captain Robert Downey and defender Niall O'Leary, who missed that game at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh with knee and groin injuries respectively, are listed as standbys. However, Declan Dalton (hamstring) is out of the matchday 26 squad. Along with Millerick, Eoin Roche is out.

Fifteen years after his first Munster SHC final, Patrick Horgan is preparing to play in his sixth final. For everyone except him and Seamus Harnedy, it will be the first provincial decider for the Cork attack.

There are four changes from the team that suffered a 16-point defeat to Limerick last month, three of which are due to injury. Twelve of the 15 players started the All-Ireland semi-final win over Limerick last year.

Like Limerick, Cork have four substitutes who can be selected if last minute changes are required.

Aidan O'Connor has been added to the Limerick squad for Saturday's SHC final in Munster against Cork.

In the side that beat Cork last month, Monalina is the only replacement for Shane O'Brien, who is among the 11 on the bench. O'Connor came on for Kilmallock's O'Brien against Clare last Sunday.

The team shows eight changes from the line-up that lost that encounter at TUS Gaelic Grounds. All eight who left the team are on the matchday panel. John Fogarty
