Karoline Leavitt has been slacking off on China. The White House spokeswoman, known for her sharp tongue, was called a hypocrite by a Chinese diplomat after it emerged that she likes to appear in front of the cameras in clothes “made in China.”
– China has to make a deal with us. We don't have to make a deal with them. China needs what we have, which is the American consumer – Karoline Leavitt pointed out during one of the press conferences. She turned out to be one herself.
The Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Indonesia, Zhang Zhisheng, posted a photo from a White House press conference on January 31, at which the spokeswoman was wearing a dress strikingly similar [no one could see the exact label] to those made in China for Self Portrait, a company created by a Malaysian-Chinese designer and registered in the UK.
” Accusing China is pure business, and buying from China is reality. The beautiful lace decorating the dress was recognized by one of the employees of the Chinese company,” the diplomat wrote on X.

The White House has yet to comment on the matter. However, the Internet is abuzz with comments that “Leavitt is calling for a boycott while using Chinese goods herself.”
