Ireland captain Keilan Doris is making “positive progress” in his efforts to prepare for Saturday's crucial Guinness Six Nations game against title rivals France in Dublin.
Leinster's number eight missed his side's 27-18 win away to Wales in the third round of the tournament with a knee problem.
The Irish will also be hoping that Jack Conan, who started in place of Doris and scored the opening goal in Cardiff before being forced off with a back injury, will be fit to feature.
Decisions on defender Ronan Kelleher (cervical spine) and prop Tadhg Furlong (calf) will be made later this week, while versatile defender Ciaran Frawley is preparing to return from a recent concussion.
Ulster's Tom O'Toole, who missed the first two rounds of the Championship through suspension, has been added to Simon Easterby's squad along with Leinster's Max Deegan and unprotected pair Darragh Murray and Tommy O'Brien.

Interim head coach Easterby is due to announce his squad for the game against second-placed France on Thursday lunchtime.
“Ireland captain Keilan Doris continues to show positive results and it is hoped he will be available for selection alongside Jack Conan,” the Irish Rugby Union said.
“Tadhg Furlong will continue his rehabilitation and a decision on his availability, along with that of Ronan Kelleher, will be made later this week.”
