While some Ukrainians are sorting out the reasons for receiving “excessive” payments, residents of frontline regions are worried about whether they will have gas at all in the winter, because the country's gas infrastructure has been severely damaged by shelling by Russian terrorists.

Fortunately, the Ukrainian government has decided to continue the program of providing free liquefied gas to the population in frontline regions, and they will definitely have gas. This was stated by Energy Minister Svitlana Grinchuk, writes the publication “Na pensiyi”.
The minister also emphasized that this heating season, residents of the Zaporizhzhia region will join the pilot project, and its term has been extended until May 1, 2026.
Gas is supplied at the expense of state resources and with the participation of international partners.

“This project already has positive results and we will continue its implementation next heating season,” added Svitlana Grinchuk.
