How to get 1,000 hryvnia in state aid for pensioners who don't have a smartphone

In Ukraine, applications for the new “Zelenskyi thousand” began on November 15, and most citizens will be able to apply for 1,000 hryvnias right now.

But what should those who don't have a smartphone with “Diya” installed do? In any case, there is a way out, UNIAN writes.

Everyone — children and adults — who are in Ukraine will be able to receive assistance. Pensioners and those who receive social assistance through Ukrposhta will receive 1,000 hryvnias automatically — on the day the pension or social benefit is issued. There is no need to register anything.

All other citizens who cannot apply through the “Diya” application can make a payment through “Ukrposhta”.

You must submit an application for it from November 18 to December 24 inclusive. You can do this:

  • at any Ukrposhta branch;
  • through the postman.

If the postman does not come regularly, you can order a home visit by calling 0800−300−545 (free calls).

The following documents will be required:

  • passport;
  • identification code;
  • document on disability pension or social assistance;
  • for guardians – a passport and a document on the appointment of guardianship.

When you receive an SMS about the money being credited, you will need to come to the branch in person or wait for the postman.

How can you spend 1,000 hryvnias at Ukrposhta?

  • Pay utility bills;
  • order medicine;
  • pay for postal services;
  • to purchase goods of Ukrainian production.

You can spend the money until June 30, 2026 inclusive.

We remind you that money is not given to you in cash. It can only be spent on authorized payments. According to Volodymyr Zelensky, more than 14 million Ukrainians will be able to take advantage of winter support.
