On March 24 this year, VeloBank published a new interest rate table. The biggest change was the introduction of a new deposit for new customers who will actively use the established personal account. The rate on this deposit is 7 percent per annum.
VeloLokata dla Aktywnych is the newest deposit in VeloBank's offer. The deposit has an annual interest rate of 7% and can be opened for 6 months. The maximum amount is PLN 30,000. The offer is addressed to new customers, but this condition is not enough to receive the aforementioned rate.
The requirements set by the bank include granting marketing consents to the bank, opening a personal account (e.g. VeloKonto) and ensuring that in each full calendar month of the contractual period of the deposit, a minimum of PLN 2,000 is transferred to the personal account. Marketing consents cannot be withdrawn during the term of the deposit. In the event of failure to meet one of the requirements, the interest rate will be reduced to 2.50 percent per annum for the entire contractual period.
The deposit is offered as part of a promotion and can be used until April 15, 2025. It can be opened via online or mobile banking. It is possible to have one active VeloLokata for Actives in a given edition of the promotion.
This is not the only change in the latest price list of VeloBank savings products. Along with the launch of the new deposit, the bank lowered the interest rate on the Mobile Deposit at Start. Until now, this two-month deposit had a rate of 7 percent per annum. Currently, it is slightly less, at 5.00 percent per annum.
7% per annum is one of the highest rates available on the market. Higher interest rates can be found at Credit Agricole (Lokata Powitalna) and Nest Bank (Nest Lokata Witaj).
