From time to time anyone, for one reason or another, needs to make a payment while maintaining their anonymity. The reasons can be quite legitimate. At the very least, not everyone today likes to make public who, where and why he or she is transferring money.
The idea of anonymous payments makes sense: modern cybersecurity specialists can identify a person from the scattered data of three non-cash credit card purchases. And you don’t even have to know the credit card number or the exact address of the payment – by collecting data on the type of store, amount or time of purchase, any user can be identified within 24 hours.
The first thing that comes to mind is cash payments. But this is not always convenient – the physical address of the same online stores can be in a small town, or somewhere in the Philippines. Fortunately, in Ukraine there are many opportunities to transfer money to a particular account without revealing yourself.
The advantage of this card is that it can be used for Internet-payments and for payments in usual stores. The functionality of such a card does not differ from that of a usual bank payment instrument. In addition, the card has no age restrictions. You can replenish the card through cash machines and ATMs of the bank, transfers from other payment cards or even from your cell phone account. The maximum amount of funds on such card is 14 thousand UAH.
These means of payment are virtually devoid of defects – especially if you throw away the SIM-card after activation. Perhaps, their only disadvantage is the limitation on the maximum amount of transfers, and the limit for a single withdrawal. Otherwise, prepaid cards provide the user with all the benefits of a bank card, negating its drawbacks.
Sometimes the simplest and most obvious solution can be the right one. Modern electronic payment systems – Global Money, Wallet One, Monexy – allow you to perform most of our usual banking transactions over the Internet.
Registration of an electronic wallet requires from the user only a cell phone number – Ukrainian operators still have not tied SIM-cards to passports, so that anonymity is provided. If necessary, the phone number can be easily changed, and “dead” purse can not be connected with a particular user (unless, of course, he filled out all the columns of information about himself in the payment system). Account replenishment can be done in payment terminals, delivery services, “Ukrposhta”, bank cash desks, or with the help of plastic cards.
The method, however, is not without flaws. So, all privacy is lost at the withdrawal – to get money from your wallet you have to show your passport at the bank cashier. In addition, the maximum amount of funds in the user’s wallet is limited.
