The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has revealed a safety recall impacting 101,944 Ford Taurus passenger cars in the United States due to a potential fault with the interior door paneling.

Delo.ua provides this information, citing Reuters as a source.

The affected vehicles are models from 2016 to 2019. The regulatory body indicates that the finishing on the B-pillars of the driver and co-driver doors could detach while the car is in motion.

Separated elements have the possibility of ending up on the road and creating a risk for other commuters.

Ford has stated that dealerships will assess the vehicles and, if necessary, mend or switch out the trim at no expense.

This product recall serves as yet another reminder for vehicle owners to pay close attention to the manufacturer’s safety-oriented service initiatives.

Hyundai has made known a recall affecting 568,580 Palisade autos in the U.S. after spotting irregularities in the seatbelt arrangement. According to the NHTSA, the issue involves belt fasteners that may not reliably restrain occupants during a crash.
