In the latest installment of the “Bankomat” podcast, Andrzej Stec, editor-in-chief of Bankier.pl, presents two key topics of the past week, in which we look at the considerable wealth of “superminister” Domański and the slightly less substantial accounts of XTB customers who lost their life savings as a result of account hacks.
This podcast is a collaboration between Bankier.pl and the Polish Bank Association. In approximately 15 minutes, the Polish Bank Association will present the most important economic events in Poland and around the world from the past week, while Bankier.pl's editor-in-chief, Andrzej Stec, will highlight two of the portal's most frequently read publications. This week's topics include:
1. Andrzej Domański holds shares of these companies worth approximately PLN 830,000 in his portfolio.
The head of the new super-ministry combining finance and economy, Andrzej Domański, in his latest asset declaration showed quite a lot of wealth, significant savings, both in domestic and foreign currency, and securities.
2. XTB sincerely apologizes. Accounts were hacked, the account was blocked late, and losses amounted to several hundred thousand złoty.
A hack into an XTB account and theft of the account during a conversation between the client and a consultant, who blocked access only a few minutes after reporting the problem, when losses had increased by approximately PLN 80,000 – this is the story of Marek from Silesia. XTB is beating its chest, but only for the manner in which the customer service was terminated, after the consultant had disconnected because his working hours had expired.
The podcast is distributed to approximately 50 local radio stations via the ZBP website. We also post it on Bankier.pl. Enjoy!
