Creotech criticizes the provisions of the space act prepared by the Ministry of Agriculture and Technology; it believes that it introduces barriers to the development of the space sector in Poland – the company wrote in its opinion on the draft act.
The Ministry of Development and Technology submitted a draft space law for consultation in May. The draft law aims to regulate the national space sector by introducing comprehensive regulations regarding space activities in Poland.
“We would like to emphasize that although the proposed regulations constitute a step towards streamlining the legal framework for space activities, in its current form the Act may in practice constitute a serious barrier to the further development of this strategic sector in Poland,” writes Creotech.
“In our opinion, numerous regulations not only require clarification, but also corrections at the level of the adopted regulatory philosophy. As an active entity in the space market, we see a risk that in their current wording, these regulations may significantly hinder space activities, especially in the export segment,” he added.
