Why not all curvy girls want to lose weight

Starting in adolescence, when I started gaining weight, everyone around me told me that this was not the norm and that with every kilogram I gained, I became less attractive to others, Ukr.Media reports.

Simply put, fat shaming has become much more prevalent in my life. Fat shaming is translated from English as “fat condemnation,” discrimination against a person who is overweight.

Let's talk to you about the same “ideal” picture that is most often shown on TV.

You've probably heard of or even watched the movie “The Search.” One of the main characters, Robin (actress Rebel Wilson), plays the same fat girlfriend who doesn't care about her appearance, behavior, and quality of life.

So why has the film industry been suggesting to viewers for a long time that if my parameters are larger than generally accepted, then I don't take care of my appearance and health? Stereotypes associated with obesity ultimately lead to the fact that every second overweight girl is labeled “you are fat, which means you are lazy and unattractive.”

On the contrary, I go for wellness massages, cosmetic treatments, and exercise every week.

By stopping listening to haters who were only trying to judge me for my weight, and by destroying the stereotypes imposed on me in my head, my life changed drastically! I have come to the point where I have been in a happy relationship with my young husband for over 10 years, doing what I love, and most importantly, living a full and fulfilling life here and now!
