Var will not be used in the Premier League next season

Video assistant referee technology will not be used in the Premier League for next season, the governing body announced.

This decision was taken at a meeting of shareholders of the Premier League meeting in London on Friday, when all 20 member clubs voted.

System that will be tested in the FA Cup, will be tested throughout the campaign 2018/19.

The statement said: “Premier League clubs have agreed today to continue a preliminary test video assistants (VDA) for the 2018/19 season.

“This decision was taken after a thorough discussion about the progress made in var processes in English football, and the key of knowledge from many competitions using it elsewhere.

“Clubs are recognized and are grateful for the significant changes made managing Director of the PGMOL Mike Riley and his team.”

VAR will not be used in the Premier League next season

The main problem with teething in use var in the FA Cup and other competitions in Europe, there was a lack of communication in the decision-making process for the fans in the stadium.

Supporters left confused while the game was stopped for long periods of time when making decisions.

The testing will focus on what can be improved and the Premier League hopes that it will be used in the FA Cup and Cup Carabao next term.

The statement continued: “the clubs agreed that additional testing will continue until the end of the season-2018/19, to make further improvements to the system, especially in the field of communication inside the stadium and at home and around the world.

“The Premier League will also ask the var needs to be used more widely in the FA Cup and Cup Carriers in the 2018/19 season.”
