Sunday sport: Kerry cruise to third Munster title in a row, Arsenal beat Newcastle

Kerry are Munster GAA Football Senior champions after outclassing Clare 5-14 to 0-15 in the decider at the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick.

It is the Kingdom’s 84th provincial title and third in a row.

Earlier Galway clinched the Connacht crown after a 2-20 to 0-12 points win over Sligo in the final at McHale Park.

The win sealed back to back provincial titles for Padraic Joyce’s men.

In the curtain raiser Mayo beat Galway 3-13 to 2-09 to clinch the Connacht Ladies Football final.

Celtic have retained the Scottish Premiership title with a 2-0 win at Hearts.

It sealed back-to-back successes for the Parkhead club in as many seasons under manager Ange Postecoglou

Rangers beat Aberdeen 1-0.

Arsenal have beaten Newcastle 2-0 in the opening Premier League game of the day at St James’ Park.

Martin Odegaard fired the title contenders in front just moments after their hosts had a penalty decision overturned by VAR. An own goal sealed the win for the Gunners.

West Ham host Manchester United later.

Leaders Manchester United have beaten Tottenham 3-0 in the WSL.

Second placed Manchester City lost oout to Liverpool by 2-1.

Aston Villa thrashed Reading 5-0 and Brighton beat West Ham 1-0.

This evening champions Chelsea take on Everton at Kingsmeadow.

Seamus Power’s birdied the first but bogied the 2nd and remains 7 under on his final round at the Wells Fargo Championship in North Carolina.

Rory McIlroy’s 1 under through 15.

American Wyndham Clark leads the way on 16 under.
