Martin Boyle may have grabbed the decisive goal midway through the first half but Hanlon was on hand to keep the Livingston offensive at bay. The 33-year-old made 16 clearances and won 11 aerial duels in a solid rearguard display at the Tony Macaroni Arena.

Rangers ended the weekend just five points off league leaders and rivals Celtic as they beat Dundee 3-1 at Ibrox on Saturday. Gers captain James Tavernier was directly involved in two of Rangers’ three goals, putting Philippe Clement’s side ahead midway through the first half from the spot before turning provider for Abdallah Sima 10 minutes before the break from respective returns of two shots and three key passes.
