Woollacott kaylie was left with tears after Lalor claimed emotional success in the obstacle in a casino best newcomers at Aintree.
The racing world was shocked in January after it was declared trainer Richard Woollacott, who was based in South Molton, Devon, died at the age of 40.
Lalor provided Woollacott with his first big race success when winning the grade two bumper at this meeting a year ago and he was a 14-1 shot to strike the class one gold on his return to Merseyside, works in his wife’s name.

With the champion jockey Richard Johnson in the saddle, Lalor travelled much and moved to the front after jumping the third flight from home.
The Foundation briefly threatened to cause a huge upset, but Woollacott supported gallop to prevail in two and a half lengths.
Vision de Flos to beat a weary-based runner-up.
Woollacott said: “it’s unbelievable, I don’t know how it happened.
“It’s a very emotional day, but obviously I had a little help there.
“This is a very special course for me and Richard, we had some of our best days here.
“It is impossible, we like a horse and it’s great.”
Thinking hard about a couple of months, she continued: “the horse is actually happening and me on the straight and narrow. They helped us a lot and certainly having, like him in the yard that you want to do it.
“I’m so happy for the owners that stuck with me. They are so loyal and it worked.
“I said before ‘I want to go home’, I really did. Racing is one of the most challenging games at a time, but in recent months it has shown how amazing supports, it can be – they really get after you and take care of you.”
Woollacott intend to enjoy the success before considering plans for next season.
She added: “to be honest, I was thinking today if he did not run away, it will still be a rookie next year with more experience, but now we have to go back to the drawing Board.
“It is only in the making. He (Richard) came to see him in Stuart Kittow and he came back and said, ‘I must have this horse, and we have to find a way.
“He was a big, beautiful, and slightly stupid, but beautiful, and we have always been very pleased with it.
“He will jump fences one day, but we are definitely going to enjoy today before we think about where we’re going.”
Johnson told ITV race: “it is difficult to convey in words. It was very sad what happened and this horse last year was his first big score.
“Come and do it again in his memory, for his family, it’s fantastic. It was a big shock, what happened.
“I hope this horse will keep the name Richard in the light for a long time.
“This is a special day for family, and I’m sure Richard is smiling as well.”
Ian Jardine, coach third place on the rock, said: “it’s fantastic. The owners wanted to bring him here today.
“I didn’t give him much of a chance on ratings, but I know he’s a very good horse.
“There is a real good race this guy.
“I think the Scottish Champions this year, but it went in his favor.
“This will be his last start as a beginner. There are many options for him, maybe for the summer and next season. He can win the race.”
