Jordan Cox hit four stunning sixes in just five balls in The Hundred between the Oval Invincibles and the Welsh Fire.

The Oval Invincibles Men set a new record for the Hundred overall with a score of 226-4 in a comfortable 83-point win over the Welsh Fire.

England's Jordan Cox scored an unbeaten 86 points from 29 balls, including 10 six-pointers, as the Invincibles surpassed the Manchester Originals' 208-5 mark set against the Northern Superchargers three years ago.

Invincibles' opening pair of Tawanda Mueye (33) and Will Jacks (38) laid a solid foundation with 25 goals between them.

Cox then delighted the home crowd by smashing four sixes against Ajit Singh Dale, who was making his Thunders debut. Sam Curran added a quickfire 34 off 19, hitting two consecutive sixes and sending the ball out four times.

Welsh Fire's Stephen Eskinazi made the first save after Jason Behrendorff's kick.

Despite Jonny Bairstow pushing for 50 and Tom Kohler-Cadmore adding 31 off 16, it didn't seem to be enough.

The Fires managed just 143 as Tom Curran ended with four wickets from his 15 balls and Behrendorff took three.

Jordan Cox made a spectacular catch in The Hundred match between the Oval Invincibles and the Welsh Fire.

The Invincibles, the two-time defending Hundred champions, are first in the tournament standings in net run percentage, with the Trent Rockets and Superchargers also tied with 12 points after four games.

Moores plays key role in Rockets' win over Braves

A brilliant performance from Tom Moores on his home county pitch gave the Trent Rockets a four-wicket win over the Southern Braves.

Moores, making his first appearance in this year's tournament (only signed on Saturday as reserve wicketkeeper), made 55 with Tom Banton (49) to send the Rockets home with four balls to spare.
