Fans are the heart of Sky Sports and this season they will be involved in the broadcast like never before.
Through a partnership with new platform Fanalysis, player ratings, coaching opinions and player views compiled by fans will be featured live during matches, in post-match reactions, as well as on Sky Sports News, social media and digital media.
In the 2025/26 season, every Premier League club will have its own dedicated following – loyal fans who will rate players, give feedback to managers and analyze everything that happens on the pitch.
Sky Sports will integrate Fanalysis into its football coverage as part of the biggest Premier League season in the broadcaster's history, providing real-time insight into what fans really think about their clubs and player performances, as well as creating new talking points and facilitating expert debate.
Over the last year, Fanalysis has been recruiting 11 fans per club, known as the ‘Starting XI’, to launch the app. They were chosen after in-person auditions with over 600 fans, each of whom also provided written match and player reports. The Starting XI is a diverse group of people and personalities united by a common passion – their club. They will be the heart of Fanalysis, representing their clubs, setting the tone and shaping the real fan experience.
What is Fanalysis? Fan ratings, managerial opinions and player views will all be featured on live match broadcasts, post-match commentary, as well as on Sky Sports News, social and digital media in the 2025/26 Premier League season.
In addition to the starting lineup, Fanalysis invites fans to apply to become fans of their club on fanalysis.com. This is to confirm their status as genuine fans and to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the data and opinions generated by Fanalysis.
Fans will share their thoughts from day one of the season, bringing the true fan opinion to millions and changing the way the game is discussed on screen.

Fanalysis executive chairman and founder Michael McIntyre said: “When it comes to their club, fans know best. No amount of statistics, YouTube videos, journalists or pundits can match the fans who live and breathe their club and whose mood depends on whether their team wins at the weekend. So I thought: why not create a place where fans can get their opinions?”
“The Tripadvisor, Letterboxd and Goodreads of football. A place where fans can share their analysis of their club. That's why I founded Fanalysis and embarked on this incredible and unexpected journey that led to this amazing partnership with Sky, the undeniable home of football, to give fans a voice like never before.”
Fanalysis co-founder Gary Neville added: “Michael introduced me to Fanalysis last November and it immediately made sense to me. Who follows and knows their club’s players best? The fans. Where football fans can rate their players and team’s performances on a platform with like-minded people in a relevant environment
