Raducanu has won both of her previous encounters but is unlikely to extend her streak as she only managed to hold her serve once in both sets.

Now the British tennis player will have some time to rest before the tournament in Cincinnati, where she will be seeded and start from the first round.

Anisimova trailed 40-15 and broke Raducanu's serve in the second game of the match, and although the UK No. 1 immediately made a break back, she failed to create another break point in the match.

Anisimova made another break, bringing the score to 3:1, and added a third break, completing the set.

Her dominance continued in the second set, with Raducanu winning just eight points on her serve to avoid a clean sheet after losing the first five games before Anisimova served for a place in the fourth round.

Anisimova scored 29 winning points on the night, making 25 unforced errors, while Raducanu managed just five winning points against 22 unforced errors.

Anisimova, currently ranked No. 7 in the world, has won 14 of her last 17 matches since the start of the grass-court season, and this victory was her 29th in a row where she has won the first set.

In the 1/8 finals, she will face 10th seed Elina Svitolina and Anna Kalinska.
