Bournemouth have signed Liverpool striker Ben Doak in a deal worth up to £25m

Bournemouth have officially announced the signing of forward Ben Doak from Liverpool in a Premier League deal worth up to £25m.

The 19-year-old Scotland international has signed a five-year deal with the club at the Vitality Stadium.

Doak spent last season on loan at Championship side Middlesbrough, where he scored three goals and provided seven assists in 24 games.

Sources say the initial fee was £20m, with the potential to rise to £5m through bonus clauses, thanks to the reinvestment of funds from summer player transfers.

Striker Dango Ouattara recently joined Brentford for £42.5m, while the coastal club have sold defenders Ilya Zabarni, Dean Heysen and Milos Kerkez to PSG, Real Madrid and Liverpool respectively, earning around £150m.

Doak is the club's fourth signing of the current transfer window, following the signings of goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic, left-back Adrien Truffert and centre-back Bafodé Diakite for a combined fee of around £70m.

His first match for his new club could come on Saturday in a home game against Wolverhampton.

The footballer, who has six caps for Scotland, began his career at Celtic before moving to Anfield in 2022 for £600,000.

The young footballer played 10 matches for the Liverpool first team, including three substitutes in the Premier League.

He missed Arne Sloth's side's 4-2 win over Bournemouth on Friday in their opening game of the season at home.
