Automation of routine tasks, increased productivity and security – all this has become possible thanks to the introduction of artificial intelligence in various spheres, and web development is no exception. However, experts believe that the use of AI is only the beginning of long-term changes. To understand how this technology has impacted web development and what its role will be in the future, we spoke to Ismail Tech LLC CEO Bekhzod Ismoiliy.
“Over the past few years, AI has had a significant impact on web development, transforming many aspects of our work,” says Bekhzod Ismoiliy. Automating routine tasks is one of the key areas where AI has proven particularly effective, he says. This includes generating template code, automatically optimizing images and resources, allowing developers to speed up the process of creating websites and applications. In one of their projects, Sliva.app, Behzoda’s team used AI to automatically optimize resources, speeding up the development process.
Intelligent data analysis has also become an important part of modern web application development. In Conversation AL project, Behzoda’s team used AI to analyze the user’s interaction patterns with the chatbot, which helped improve its performance. TruckGPT’s implementation uses AI to analyze user behavior to adapt the user interface in real-time, making it more user-friendly and intuitive. This significantly improves user interaction with the platform and increases conversion rates.
Behzod also notes that artificial intelligence plays an important role in the testing domain. AI-based systems can generate test scenarios and automatically detect errors in the code. This significantly reduces testing time and improves the quality of the final product. “AI-based automated test generation has reduced testing time by 30-40% while increasing test coverage,” shares Ismoilov.
One of the main questions on the minds of both experts and newcomers to web development: will AI be able to completely replace developers? Bekhzod Ismoiliy is confident that AI will not be a complete replacement, but it will change the role of web developers in the future.
“Our role will evolve towards ‘augmented reality developers’. We will focus more on strategic planning, system architecture and solving complex problems using AI as a powerful tool,” the expert explains. In other words, artificial intelligence will not replace human creativity and intuition, which remain key in developing unique and innovative solutions, especially when it comes to implementing complex business logic.
However, Behzod sees several tasks that AI can fully automate. These include code generation, automated testing and debugging, image and resource optimization, and basic localization and SEO automation. But aspects such as ethics, complex business decisions and creative design still require human input.
One of the main benefits of using AI in web development is the acceleration of workflows. On average, AI can reduce development time by 30-50%, depending on the complexity of the project. For example, automatic code generation can reduce basic code generation time by 40-60%, giving developers more time to solve creative problems. In the TruckGPT project, the use of AI reduced the overall development cycle time by about 30%.
In addition, AI helps improve code quality. “AI tools help detect and fix bugs in real time, reducing the number of bugs. This has led to a 25% reduction in critical bugs in our TruckGPT project,” shares Ismoilov.
AI also plays an important role in personalizing user experience. Machine learning systems analyze user behavior and adapt interfaces for each individual. This is especially important in e-commerce and logistics, where even minor interface improvements can lead to increased sales.
In the coming years, according to Ismail Tech LLC, we can expect to see further integration of AI into web development. Ismoilov predicts that one of the key areas will be the automation of code generation. Current AI tools such as GitHub Copilot already help developers write code faster and more efficiently, but in the future there will be more advanced systems capable of generating entire architectural solutions. This will speed up the development of large projects and allow developers to focus more on creative and strategic aspects.
Intelligent security systems is another area where AI will become indispensable. The projects Behzod’s team is working on already use AI to prevent cyberattacks, and he expects these systems to become more and more advanced. This will allow companies to not only prevent threats, but also predict them.
AI has already fundamentally changed web development, making it faster, more efficient, and more secure. However, as Bekhzod Ismoiliy notes, its role will only grow. Developers will increasingly use AI as an assistant automating routine tasks, while they themselves will focus on complex, creative and strategic tasks. In the future, AI will become an integral part of web development, but human intelligence will remain at the forefront of decision-making and creating innovative solutions.
