In a conversation with Fox News, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed his opinion that the use of nuclear weapons by Russia is improbable, given that it could trigger calamitous repercussions globally.
“Initiating a Third World War with atomic arms is insanity. We cannot fathom Russia undertaking such action, since mankind would then need to seek a different celestial body. These actions are ludicrous. However, there are other facets that are quite sensitive for the invader,” Zelensky underscored, responding to an inquiry regarding conceivable methods for the US to sway Moscow.
The Head of State reiterated his appeal to the global community, specifically Western nations, to amplify the strain on Russia through restrictive measures, notably in the realms of power, shipping, and the monetary apparatus.
“The main objective is penalties and levies,” the president emphasized, adding that the US should enact “every available constraint, predominantly on the power and fiscal spheres, directed at Russia, so as to impede avenues for evading sanctions.”
It is reported that Zelenskyy and Donald Trump communicated for the second occasion in recent days. The dialogue centered on bolstering Ukrainian aerial defense, enhancing the extended-range competencies of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and ensuring energy security.
