According to accusations revealed by the Justice Department on Thursday, three Chinese individuals face charges for illicitly exporting Nvidia and HP goods to China.

From September 2023 onward, Hon Ning Ho, Brian Raymond, Cham Li, and Jing Chen purportedly shipped microchips to China.

The Justice Department contends that the trio of Chinese nationals, together with one American, engaged in a plot to dispatch these chips to intermediary nations — Thailand and Malaysia — for subsequent transit to China. The individuals supposedly formed a fictitious enterprise to procure these items.

The Commerce Department has prohibited China from obtaining these microchips.

The Justice Department further asserts that the men deliberated on methods to “circumvent United States export statutes and guidelines.”

In return for these chips, the men reportedly gained “undisclosed payments” for their alleged actions.

Altogether, the men are said to have illegally conveyed hundreds of chips into China.
