Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Heorhiy Tykhyi said that constant intimidation by Russian dictator Vladimir Putin no longer has any effect on Ukraine's partners, he said during a briefing on Friday, September 5.

“Moscow endlessly repeats threats: we will strike somewhere, we will react harshly. But everyone already understands the true price of these words. They have no effect on either the governments of states or societies, because Putin has frightened the world so many times in recent years that these statements have lost any weight,” the diplomat emphasized.

According to him, Ukraine regularly explains to partners that the Kremlin has each time promised “terrible consequences” after providing Kyiv with a new type of weapons from 2022, but no action has ever followed.

“Therefore, these horror stories have long since lost their value and there is no reason to fear them. At the same time, the very fact that Moscow and Putin personally continue to actively blackmail proves: a) allies can quite realistically be present in Ukraine, and b) their participation is really capable of guaranteeing our security,” Tykhy concluded.

The Foreign Ministry spokesman also commented on the security guarantees from Moscow, calling them absurd.

Putin previously stated that NATO troops that may appear on the territory of Ukraine will become legitimate targets for their destruction.
